We know every family has a rhythm — whether it’s an early daycare drop-off or a goal to enjoy slower mornings. That’s why Smart Sleep Coach lets you set a target wake-up time or bedtime to help shape your baby’s daily schedule around what works for you.
That said, the app still needs a bit of flexibility to work its magic. To ensure your baby’s sleep remains balanced and optimized, you can only set one fixed time — either wake-up or bedtime — and the rest of the schedule will adjust around it.
How to update your sleep targets for wake-up and bedtime:
- Open the Smart Sleep Coach app
- Go to Settings
- Tap on your baby's profile
- Tap Schedule settings
- Choose to set either a:
- Target wake-up time, or
- Target bedtime
The app will use this fixed time as an anchor and adjust naps and other sleep times to support it.
Why only one?
If both bedtime and wake-up time were locked in, the app would have very little room to adjust naps and sleep windows in a healthy way. Babies’ needs change daily, and this flexibility helps ensure your little one gets the rest they need — without you having to do the math.
What about the number of naps?
As of now, you can’t proactively change the number of naps in the app yourself — but if the schedule doesn’t seem to adapt quickly enough, feel free to reach out and we’ll help guide the transition.
Need a more customized schedule?
If you’re juggling multiple constraints (like daycare pickups, older siblings, or your own schedule), we can help. Send us your preferred wake-up and bedtime goals, and we’ll help you set up the best routine from within the app.
How the app personalizes your baby’s schedule
The Smart Sleep Coach app creates your baby’s schedule using a combination of their age, sleep tracking data, and well-established biological sleep patterns. It updates automatically as your baby grows and their sleep needs change.
If the schedule doesn’t seem to match your baby’s rhythm — or isn’t improving with time — our team can help. Ask to be connected with a customer success representative, and we’ll take a look.
